YOU ARE HERE! – You are just standing in the position of the front platform of Bastion I, on the rebuilt, ground outlook of its shape. Compare how it looked like on the plan of 1847.
of the southern front of Zamość Fortress. For ages the area, called Great Pond, was marshy or covered with water. On the other side there was a fortified palace, whose remains are now called Zamczysko. In a few years’ time we may invite you to a vantage point situated there and, hopefully, you will be able to see the most beautiful view of Zamość reflected in water.
