YOU ARE HERE – you are just standing next to the entrance to the postern– the corridor that leads to the north, right-sided casemate of the Bastion. This place is pointed on the plan of the development of the Zamość Fortress of 1847.
survived till the middle of the 19th century in a form dating from King Jan III Sobieski’s time. Then the bastion was remodelled, losing its unique features: lowered flanks and a powerful central part.
