The Nature Trail

  Green signs. It leads to the town Park and farther on to the water flow near ravelin* II/III to the foot of the counterguard of Bastion III and then to a small panoramic board in front of the Szczebrzeska Gate. You can see it from the information kiosk; to get to it, you have to walk down the ramp. The trail does not reach the platform you are standing on; it runs through marshy ground with a high level of groundwater, i.e. remains of the former so-called “Small Pond” and then a park which ran wild becoming the so-called “Małpi Gaj”. There are riparian plants here as well as alder and poplar trees. Walking along the moat you walk under the bridge in front of the Szczebrzeska Gate and reach a small pulpit board in front of Bastion II. A short distance away there is another information kiosk in the park summer house.
