In the future the moat in front of Bastion III will be enlarged to reflect the landscape as it was in the 18th century.
Conception of the surrounding of Bastion III to the development in the future. The enlargement of the Bastion in front of the Bastion has been provided but inside limited by the outline of the counterguard designed by Mallet.
It is a costly and difficult task but the result is worth the effort. After all, the bastion was once reflected in the water of the moat.
