The panorama of a Renaissance town represented the power of its ruler. Access roads were constructed in such a way as
to present the most interesting aspects of the panorama. Winding roads drew travellers’ sight to specific objects. Water sheet emphasised the majesty of the fortress by reflecting its foreground, which made it look larger than it really was. Attempts are being made to restore Zamość historical foreground in the north and south to give visitors an idea of what the panorama of the ideal town looked like and how powerful fortress fortifications were.
