The Nature Trail

  Green signs. . It runs right behind your back showing a fragment of Renaissance gardens dating from the 1950s. It leads you to the town park, designed by Walerian Kronenberg and then to an island where there are vantage points with descriptions of the history of the park and the historical panoramas of Zamość Fortress. Walk southwards and you pass by a grove of old trees, including hawthorns. They do not date back to the time of construction of the fortress but as “fortress trees” they have every right to be here. The you get to Koszary Kozackie housing a centre of information about Zamość Fortress and fortification facilities.
